After 30 years of success in the founding and advising of over 60 businesses in the media sector, including the co-founding of Optimum Releasing (now STUDIOCANAL UK), helping to distribute and produce many internationally renowned films (multiple Academy Award winning The Hurt Locker and Pan's Labyrinth; Academy Award winning Spirited Away; BAFTA winning This is England and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy; Critically acclaimed Fahrenheit 9/11 and Dead Man’s Shoes) and chairing COCO Content, Ireland’s leading independent TV production company (Kings; Eliza Lynch: Queen of Paraguay; 1916; Traders), Fields Park inevitably turned their hand to film and TV production.
Launched by Paul Higgins, Fields Park Productions’ past credits include the indie classic Submarine and the award-winning landmark documentary series 1916: The Irish Rebellion, and have a slate of over 20 film and TV projects in various stages of development, production and release. The scope of these projects ranges from Fields Park’s support of the local media sector and talent in Wales and the UK right through to Hollywood, collaborating with Oscar-winning filmmakers and giants of the global entertainment industry.
Alongside current productions, Fields Park are keen supporters of various media initiatives in their home base of Wales, funding local schemes that seek out and encourage new and indigenous talent.
With a broad understanding of the media industry in all of its capacities and an eye for spotting talented and affable filmmakers, Fields Park utilise their expertise and many connections earned from over three decades in the industry to continually grow and enhance their current slate of film, TV, and short form offerings, as well as continuing their support of the media sector.
